Bharat Desai -

Bharat Desai has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of IT and cybersecurity. In 1996, they started their career as a System Administrator at Axiom Microsystems, where they worked until 2000. Desai then moved on to MSI in 2000 as a System Admin.

In 2001, they joined Barnes & Noble, Inc. and held various positions over the years, including Network Operations Center Engineer, Sr. System Administrator, System Administration Manager, and eventually Senior Director IT / Director of IT. During their time at Barnes & Noble, Desai managed infrastructure hosting for the Nook and BN.com businesses, as well as internal systems for finance and HR. Bharat also oversaw overseas offices and a datacenter.

In 2017, Desai joined SmarterD as a Customer Success Lead, Solution Architect, Security and Infrastructure. Bharat played a crucial role in defining product requirements, roadmaps, and features for the next gen risk-based cybersecurity program management and analytics platform. Desai served as a product owner and subject matter expert for multiple modules.

Throughout their career, Bharat Desai has gained valuable expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and IT leadership.

Bharat Desai - CISSP holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Instrumentation in Electronics from Gangamai Polytechnic, Dhule. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate. Bharat is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certified by (ISC)².
