Rita Bugalhão

Rita Bugalhão has a diverse range of work experiences. Rita started in 2019 with two student internships at IFIMUP - Instituto de Física de Materiais Avançados, Nanotecnologia e Fotónica. Following that, in 2020, they became the Treasurer of the PhysikUP organization, where they later served as the President from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they had a student internship at IFIMUP and also took on the role of Treasurer for the International Association of Physics Students, a position they held until 2021 as well. In 2022, Rita joined the Smartex.ai team as a Research and Development Intern, before transitioning to a Research and Development Engineer position. Rita also held roles as a Coordinator of the Employment Department at AEFCUP - Associação de Estudantes da FCUP and as a Representatives' Council Member at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. Additionally, Rita participated in the Trainee UPinTECH Programme at Universidade do Porto from January to June 2022.

Rita Bugalhão pursued their education at the Universidade do Porto from 2016 to 2022. During this time, they completed a Mestrado Integrado degree in Engenharia Física. Additionally, in December 2015, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge Assessment English.
