Chris Tate

Chris Tate, CMA, is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in financial management and reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at SmartBank since July 2020, Chris previously held the same title at CUPA-HR from August 2012 to July 2020, excelling in month-end closing processes, financial statement production, and various reconciliation tasks. Notable accomplishments include enhancing spreadsheet efficiency through formula updates and developing a benchmark tracking sheet for management. Earlier roles include Staff Accountant positions at BankEast/Curtis Mortgage Company and Bethel Bible Village, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing accounts payable, external audits, and payroll budgets. Chris began the accounting career as a Project Accountant at Stormont Hospitality Group, managing financial operations for hotel development projects.
