Cynthia Cain is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as the Chief Accounting Officer at SmartBank since May 2019, Cynthia also held the position of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior roles include Senior Vice President Internal Audit Supervisor and Senior Vice President for Stress Testing and Financial Planning at South State Bank from October 2011 to May 2019, where responsibilities encompassed managing stress testing processes and financial planning. Cynthia's previous experience includes serving as Controller and Deposit Operations Manager at BankMeridian, N.A., Controller at PRN Pharmacies, Ltd., Financial Secretary and Small Group Administrator at Cornerstone Community Church, and Controller for United Propane Gas Companies, Inc. A graduate of Murray State University, Cynthia holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
