Anish James

Anish James is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with over 15 years of experience across various domains, including network security, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. Currently serving as Cyber Governance Manager at Smartgroup Corporation since October 2022, Anish is responsible for implementing Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), maintaining ISO 27001 certification, and designing cybersecurity strategies. Anish also acts as a syndicate member and angel investor for Sydney Angels, and as a mentor for Cyber Risk Meetup, guiding professionals and start-ups in cybersecurity. Prior roles include Information Security GRC Consultant at CSR Limited, Information Security Analyst at StatePlus, and several positions in IT infrastructure and systems administration at companies like Samsung Electronics and Comlink Solutions. Anish holds a master’s degree in cybersecurity from De Montfort University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University.
