CMO at SmartGuide

Romana Olexová has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2006 as an HR assistant for Manpower Slovakia. In 2008, they became the Marketing and Sales Executive for Shockjump, s.r.o., where they were responsible for web design, website maintenance, social media, PPC campaigns, branding, design of promo materials, video editing, sales and invoicing, PR, and communication with local media, suppliers, and customers. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Online Marketing Team Leader for CNAS EUBA, creating creative solutions including copywriting, PR events, social media marketing, and graphic design. During this time, they also held the role of Associate Researcher at the University of Vienna, where they conducted research activities and co-supervised student papers. In 2014, they became an Assistant Professor at the University of Economics, Bratislava. Most recently, in 2021, they became the CMO for SmartGuide, a company that disrupts traditional guides and revolutionizes how people experience new places during their travels.

Romana Olexová has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Online marketing in marketing communication of services from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave, which they obtained between 2011 and 2014. Romana also has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in eBusiness & eServices from the University of Vienna, which they obtained between 2013 and 2014. In 2013, they attended an Internet marketing course collaboration at SUNY Empire State College. Additionally, they have a Dipl. Ing. in Business, Economics and Marketing from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave, which they obtained between 2005 and 2010. In December 2017, they obtained a Školení GDPR - Obecné nařízení o ochraně osobních údajů from TÜV SÜD, and in March 2017, they obtained an ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification from TALO s.r.o.
