Niranjan Maka has had a long and varied career in the technology industry, beginning in 1986 when they were Regional Manager - Southern US for Tata Consultancy Services. In 1994, they co-founded General Automata, a business and engineering firm in the banking and healthcare sectors. In 1999, they joined Oracle as Director & Head Core Engineering (I), and also began working at Siebel Systems as Director Core Engineering & Director Core Engineering (I). In 2000, they became Engineering Head (Pharma/Medical Trial Platform) at WebMD. In 2005, they moved to ITC Infotech as General Manager - Global Siebel CRM Business / Practice. In 2006, they became Head, RSA Security R&D (I) at RSA, the Security Division of EMC. From 2010 to 2020, they worked at VMware, holding the roles of Vice President Engineering (Edge / IoT) and Vice President Engineering (Global R&D). In 2020, they became CEO & Co-founder of SmartHub.ai.
Niranjan Maka attended Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they studied Electrical Engineering. Niranjan also attended University Engineering College, Bangalore, and St. Joseph's College, Bangalore.
