Ramesh Iyer

Ramesh Iyer has over 27 years of work experience. Ramesh started their career in 1993 as a System Analyst at Godrej-GE Appliances Ltd., where they led the redesigning of freight outward and claims system. Ramesh also installed HP Servers and managed UNIX administration.

In 1997, they joined CITC - Consulting as a Lead Consultant and Senior System Analyst. Ramesh provided technical support, automated processes, and led a team migration project.

In 1999, Ramesh joined Providian Financial as a DBA, Systems Architect, and Storage Architect. Ramesh partnered with project teams to engineer solutions, reduce costs, and manage vendor relationships.

From 2004 to 2015, they worked at CSC, where they held various positions such as Storage Lead, Technical Architect Principal Lead, and Manager of Global Offerings Architecture & Engineering. Ramesh managed storage systems, provided technical direction, and offered standardized product offerings.

In 2011, Ramesh became a founding team member and business/technology strategist at Capism Foundation. Ramesh focused on leveraging data for social good in areas such as saving lives and education.

From 2015 to 2020, they worked at Symantec as a Senior Manager of IT hosting and later as a Director. Ramesh achieved impossible targets and led a team in repatriating the hosting ecosystem, resulting in Opex reduction.

In 2020, Ramesh joined SmartKargo as the Director of Information Technology.

Throughout their career, Ramesh has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a dedication to achieving business requirements.

Ramesh Iyer's education history includes two main periods of study. From 1988 to 1992, they attended the Govt. College of Engg. Karad, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engg. degree in Electrical Engg. Additionally, in 1998 and 1999, they enrolled in UC Berkeley - Extension, where they focused on learning Unix, SAN, and Programming.

In terms of additional certifications, Ramesh Iyer obtained the "Think101x: The Science of Everyday Thinking" certificate from edX in July 2014. Furthermore, they obtained the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2020.
