Simon Ogier

Simon Ogier has held several positions in the technology industry since 2001. Simon began their career at Avecia as a Senior Scientist before moving to the Centre for Process Innovation as an R&D manager in 2007. In 2015, they became the Head of Technology Development at Neudrive Limited. In 2018, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at NeuDrive Optoelectronics Tech. Co. Ltd. and in 2019 they were named CTO of SmartKem Limited.

Simon Ogier received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics with Electronics and Instrumentation from the University of Leeds between 1992 and 1996. Following this, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Physics and Electronics departments between 1996 and 2000, specializing in Microfabricated Ion channel biosensors on micromachined supports, novel detection devices. Prior to this, they attended William Hulme's Grammar School between 1985 and 1992.
