Tommi Hiltunen

Tommi Hiltunen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Tommi is currently working at Smartly.io as the VP of Engineering since September 2022. Prior to that, they held various leadership positions at Nokia, including Head of R&D for Data Collection and Analytics Platforms from May 2020 to September 2022, Head of Cloud Infrastructure R&D from November 2015 to May 2020, Head of VGP/LCC R&D from December 2013 to October 2015, Head of FlexiPlatform R&D from February 2013 to November 2013, Head of Agile Management from September 2012 to January 2013, and R&D Manager from August 2008 to September 2012. Tommi also served as a Section Manager and R&D Manager from February 2000 to July 2008, where they were responsible for recruitment, competence development, and group management. Tommi Hiltunen started their career as an R&D Engineer at Nokia from July 1995 to January 2000. Before joining Nokia, they worked as a Trainee at Savon Voima Oyj from 1990 to 1994.

Tommi Hiltunen completed their education with a Master of Science in Technology degree in Communications Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 2001 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer technology from Kuopio Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1994. Tommi attended Suonenjoen Lukio from 1987 to 1990.
