Joost van der Heijden

Joost van der Heijden has extensive work experience in the finance industry. In 2010, they founded CFOflex, a company providing flexible finance professionals to businesses in need of financial support. In 2008, they worked as the CFO at Mediq Apotheken Nederland. From 2013 to 2015, they served as a consultant for various poliklinische apotheken, providing financial process advice and support. Joost also held several interim and consultancy assignments from 2010 to 2013. Joost has worked in various roles at Pharming Group N.V., including Interim Finance Director and Financial Consultant. Joost was also a Finance Director a.i. at Pluripharm and a Partner at The Perfect Fit, where they offered financial interim management and consultancy services. Joost currently holds the position of CFO at SmartMed B.V.

Joost van der Heijden completed their VWO (pre-university education) at Strabrecht College from 1976 to 1982. Afterwards, they attended Tilburg University from 1982 to 1988, earning a Drs./MSc degree in Econometrics. In 1998, they pursued a Post-Master Controlling deficiency program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they completed in 1999.
