Joost van der Heijden has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Afterwards, they attended Tilburg University from 1982 to 1988, earning a Drs./MSc degree in Econometrics. In 1998, they pursued a Post-Master Controlling deficiency program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they completed in 1999.
