Vincent Muriuki

Vincent Muriuki has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Vincent started their career as a Software Engineer Apprentice at Andela, where they developed and directed software system testing and validation procedures. Vincent also analyzed user needs and software requirements within time and cost constraints.

Later, Vincent worked at Masinde Muliro University as a Network Administrator and Android/IOS Developer. Vincent developed and deployed fully functioning multi-platform chat applications using React Native, React Redux, and Firebase as the database. Vincent also reviewed code and provided feedback.

Vincent then joined BSK Global Technologies as a Software Engineer. Vincent executed full lifecycle software development, deployed and maintained new software applications, and supported existing systems. Vincent also conducted regression testing, analyzed results, and provided observations to the development team. Additionally, they researched, designed, and implemented scalable applications for information identification, extraction, analysis, retrieval, and indexing.

Currently, Vincent is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Smartmile. Vincent is responsible for front-end development, including hardware communication, integration of new automated parcel hardware, and the creation, monitoring, and maintenance of the company's cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Services. Vincent manages OpenVPN Network with automated parcel terminals, maintains custom builds of Linux-based OS, and works on Smartmile's Cloud Architecture on Google Cloud. Vincent also develops the Smartmile Backend API using Node.js, performs DevOps responsibilities, and monitors network performance.

Overall, Vincent Muriuki has gained significant experience in software development, system testing, deployment, maintenance, and cloud infrastructure management throughout their career.

Vincent Muriuki completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Masinde Muliro University, from the year 2014 to 2018. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in various fields.
