Birte Sönnichsen

Birte Sönnichsen is the COO at SmartNanotubes Technologies. Birte has over 25 years of experience in the life science and biotech industry. Birte has a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Hamburg.

Birte started their career as a postdoc at Cancer Research UK and EMBL. In 2003, they became the COO of Cenix BioScience, where they worked for 12 years. In 2015, they joined Life Science Inkubator GmbH as a Project Manager. In 2017, they became the Head of Operations at Biotype Diagnostic GmbH. In 2019, they returned to Life Science Inkubator GmbH as the Project Leader Operations and Exploitation for the Spin-Off Project SmartNanotubes.

Birte has been with SmartNanotubes Technologies since 2020. Under their leadership, the company has developed groundbreaking technology for the detection of early-stage cancer.

Birte Sönnichsen has a diploma in Biology from The University of Göttingen.

Their manager is Viktor Bezugly, CEO & CTO. They are on a team with and Andreas Werner - Head of Development & Production.
