Kaisei Hamamoto

Kaisei Hamamoto is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with extensive experience in software engineering and product development. As Co-Founder and CEO of SmartNews since June 2012, Kaisei launched a mobile news aggregator app and developed its real-time news discovery engine and user experience. Previously, as Director at Rmake Co, Ltd., Kaisei developed Crowsnest, a personalized news reader service that received the NTT Open Lab award at TechCrunch Tokyo 2011. Earlier in their career, Kaisei worked as a Software Engineer at Open Knowledge Corporation, contributing to various products including a content management system and an interactive information visualization tool. Kaisei holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
