George Bolt is currently employed as a Quantitative Analyst at Smartodds since August 2023. Prior to this, George completed a PhD in Statistics and Operational Research at Lancaster University, where George focused on developing network-analytic methods for analyzing web-platform usage data in partnership with Elsevier. George also worked as a Visiting Scientist at Tesco for six months, conducting research to assist with data-informed decision making. George holds a Master of Research in Statistics and Operational Research from Lancaster University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from The University of Manchester. George completed their A-levels at Hereford Cathedral School.

Smartodds is a company based in North London which provides statistical research and consulting services about sports. Our team of quantitative analysts develop and implement predictive statistical models for sporting events (primarily football), and we combine the results of this research with reports produced by our team of sports analysts who provide in depth analysis of past and future matches. The data produced by this research is presented to our clients in software and web pages specifically customised for them by our software development team. Our clients then use this information to help make decisions about bets on sporting events.
