Smartodds
Luigi Colombo has a strong background in the field of quantitative analysis and strategy. Luigi began their career in 2005 as a Quantitative Analyst at Smartodds, where they worked until 2018. During their time at Smartodds, they held various roles including Head of Technical Research and Head of Quantitative Analysis. In November 2018, they were promoted to the position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Prior to joining Smartodds, Luigi worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Cass Business School from 2004 to 2009.
Luigi Colombo pursued their education in a structured and systematic manner. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Sapienza Università di Roma, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science. Building on this foundation, they then enrolled at Cass Business School from 2001 to 2005 to further their studies. During this period, Luigi successfully completed their PhD in Actuarial Science. A meticulous and focused approach to their education is evident in their choice of degrees, which all center around statistics and actuarial science.
Smartodds
Smartodds is a company based in North London which provides statistical research and consulting services about sports. Our team of quantitative analysts develop and implement predictive statistical models for sporting events (primarily football), and we combine the results of this research with reports produced by our team of sports analysts who provide in depth analysis of past and future matches. The data produced by this research is presented to our clients in software and web pages specifically customised for them by our software development team. Our clients then use this information to help make decisions about bets on sporting events.
