Valeria Kogan has a diverse work experience in the fields of AgTech, biotech, aging research, and bioinformatics. Valeria is currently the CEO and Founder of Fermata, an AgTech company focused on AI-based plant monitoring in greenhouses. Valeria previously served as the Chief Innovation Officer and Co-Founder at SmartOmica, a biotech start-up developing AI-based solutions for Personalized Medicine. Valeria has also worked as an Adjunct Scientist at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, contributing to research on retroelements activity in cancer and aging. Furthermore, they have held roles at GERO as a Project Manager and Research Scientist, where they focused on AI-based biomarkers of aging. Additionally, Valeria has experience as a Bioinformatician at the Institute of Physical and Chemical Medicine, where they conducted research on H. Pylori genome and drug response.
