Jimmy Xu

Jimmy Xu has over 25 years of work experience, starting with their role as a Systems Engineer at HNSX Supercomputers Inc from April 1994 to January 1996. Jimmy then worked at Sun Microsystems as a Staff Engineer from January 1996 to September 2008, where they provided consulting to ISVs on software design and development efforts. In September 2008, Jimmy joined PCMS Datafit as a Sr. Software Developer and later became a Development Lead. Jimmy held these roles until August 2017. From August 2017 to September 2019, Jimmy worked as a Principal Application Developer at Fifth Third Bank. Currently, they are employed as a Principal Engineer at SmartPay Leasing, where they have been working since September 2019.

Jimmy Xu received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University in 1985. Jimmy then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University between 1989 and 1993. Following that, they attended Concordia University from 1993 to 1995 and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Jimmy also achieved several certifications, including the Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle 9i Database Administrator, Sun Certified Developer for Sun ONE Application Server, Sun Certified Java Programmer, Sun Certified Solaris System Administrator, and Sun Certified Web Component Developer.
