Julie Basu, PhD

Julie Basu, PhD has a long and varied work experience. In 2016, they founded, served as CEO and Head of R&D for smartQED, an AI-powered visual workspace for faster collaborative incident and problem resolution in any domain. From 2013 to 2015, they were Co-founder, CTO and Head of Engineering for a Stealth-mode Startup. From 2004 to present, they have been a Board Member and Volunteer for the Shadhika Project. From 1998 to 2004, they worked at Oracle in various roles, including Director of Software Development and Architecture, Technology Evangelist, Senior Development Manager for the Java Products Group, and Development Manager for the Java Products Group.

Julie Basu holds a PhD in Computer Science with Database specialization from Stanford University, a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science with AI emphasis from Stanford University, and a Master of Engineering in School of Automation from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
