Heather Auer

Heather Auer is in charge of setting the overall people strategy for SmartRent and leading employee development, organizational change, talent acquisition and total rewards. She began her human resources career in higher education working for Apollo Group where she spent over 12 years working in human resources and taking on leadership roles in litigation, international HR and M&A. After a few years doing executive search work and being a faculty member, Heather landed at GoDaddy where she spent over six years as a strategic HR business partner to the COO, CIO, Corporate Development and International teams. During her time at GoDaddy, she also led the full cycle M&A function for human resources, working on over 20 acquisitions with the largest being a $1.8 billion transaction in Europe. Heather was instrumental in the global growth of GoDaddy including setting up operations in China, Brazil, Israel, Mexico, Australia and throughout Europe. Heather holds a BS in Human Resource Management and an MBA in Global Management.
