Michael Kress

Michael Kress has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Michael worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SmartRent, where they led the architecture re-write of the iOS app and integrated SmartHome hardware into the platform. Prior to that, they were a Lead Software Engineer and Lead iOS Developer at Nuvita, where they oversaw the re-write of a legacy codebase and provided innovative solutions to pivot the company's business model. Michael also worked as a Lead iOS Developer and Systems Engineer at Boomtime, where they developed enterprise applications and communicated with management to provide technical and business solutions. Additionally, they have volunteered as a web developer for organizations such as Metro Teen Court and Youth In Transition, and has held various roles at Santa Fe Soul, University of New Mexico, Sandia National Laboratories, and Comfortzone/Natural Sleep.

Michael Kress completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Information Systems and Information Assurance from UNM Anderson School of Management in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance and Marketing from the same institution in 2011. In addition to their formal education, Michael Kress has obtained several certifications related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency from the Ivan on Tech Blockchain Academy. These include certifications in Blockchain Business Masterclass, Blockchain & Bitcoin 101, Ethereum 101, and Ethereum Smart Contract Programming 101, all obtained in August and September 2021.
