Mikheil Basilaia

Mikheil Basilaia is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at SmartSoft since September 2024. Mikheil co-founded GRCLAB, a new generation GRC platform, in November 2020 and has been the founder and craftsman at Cyberhouse, a cybersecurity firm focused on tailored services, since April 2015. Previous roles include Head of Information Security Department at Liberty Bank, Information Security Manager at the National Agency for Public Registry, and Information Systems Security Officer at Bank Republic Société Générale Group. Mikheil has also contributed to academia as a lecturer on cyber security topics at various universities. Educational qualifications include two Master's Degrees in Cyber Security from TalTech and the University of Tartu, along with studies in International Relations.
