Jerry Freestone

Jerry Freestone is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in system and hardware engineering. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at SMART Technologies since January 2021, Freestone previously held a similar position at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada and spent nearly a decade at NovAtel, where roles included Sr. Antenna Designer, Chief Engineer for Antennas and Anti-jam, Team Lead of the Antenna group, and Project Manager. Earlier in their career, Freestone was a Hardware Design/Support Engineer at Nortel, contributing to high-volume desktop telephones and participating in industry standards development. Freestone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, earned between 1989 and 1994.
