Gen Utsumi

Gen Utsumi has over 20 years of experience working with start-ups across various industry verticals, including finance, cyber security, quantum computing, inbound tourism, smart building, and the Metaverse/Web3. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of SilkRoaD and holding multiple positions at other companies, Utsumi is also the Director of Sales and Business Development at smartTrade Technologies for the Asia Pacific region, and the Country Manager for Japan at Blackwired Pte Ltd., an intelligence firm. Additional roles include Chief Strategy Officer at AsiaYo, Chief Operating Officer at Almata, Senior Business Director at Roby, Business Development Director at A24, and Consultant for Quantinuum. Utsumi's educational background includes a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
