Mark Klaasen has a diverse work experience in various industries. Mark started their career in 2003 as a Trainee at Rudholm. Mark then worked at Wil Klaassen Mode BV from 2003 to 2007 in a management role. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the European Retail Buyer for McG McGregor menswear, responsible for assortment management and buying. Mark then moved to McGregor Retail BV from 2010 to 2012, where they worked as the Head of Buying for McGregor and Gaastra stores. In 2012, they became the Head of Buying and Merchandising at McGregor Fashion Group, overseeing the buying and merchandising operations for multiple brands and stores. Finally, from 2014 to the present, they have held various roles at Smartwares Group, including Business Line Director and Head of Category Management and Design. Mark has been responsible for sourcing, product development, and managing teams for different brands and categories.
Mark Klaasen completed their MSc in Business Administration from the University of Groningen from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Ludger College, although the specific duration and degree pursued are not known.
