William van Polen

William van Polen is the owner and instructor at Het EHBO Huis and Emergency Response Trainers, where they share their expertise in First Aid and emergency management. Currently a Captain on the Boeing 737 for Smartwings, William also serves as a Type Rating Instructor for Boeing 737 pilots and has a rich background in crew resource management and flight safety instruction. Previously, they spent over four decades as a firefighter engineer with the Veiligheidsregio Noord-Holland Noord, demonstrating a commitment to crisis management and operational excellence throughout their career. William's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and various certifications in first aid and firefighting.
