Michael Cleary, JD, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of law and research and development. Michael is currently the Independent Business Owner at Cleary Law, LLC since 2019. Previously, they worked as the Director of Research and Development at SmartyPants Vitamins starting from 2014. Before that, they were a Patent/Regulatory Attorney specializing in Nutritional Gummy products, working as a freelancer out of Vancouver, Washington since 2009. Michael also served as the Director of Product Development at Natrol, Inc. in 1999 and as the VP of R&D at EAST EARTH HERB, INC. from 1998 to 1999. Michael has held various roles in different companies such as Hero Nutritionals, Inc., National Enzyme Company, Nutrition Now Inc., Wine Country Analytical, and IMPERIAL SUGAR CORPORATION, gaining experience in areas like technical affairs, product/process development, innovation and development, scientific affairs, and consulting.

Michael Cleary, JD, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at UCLA. Michael then pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Oregon State University. Afterward, they attended Lewis & Clark Law School and obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in Law.
