Kenyon S. is a seasoned leader in voter engagement and project management with extensive experience in various campaign roles. Currently serving as Lead Director at The Outreach Team, Kenyon oversees a voter contact campaign aimed at electing Deon Tedder to the SC State Senate while managing a team of canvassers. Previous roles include serving as Project Manager for SMASH, where focus is on supporting first and second-year college students in STEM fields, and as a Career Transition Consultant for Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc., aiding clients in job search strategies. Kenyon has demonstrated a knack for leadership as the Director of Innovation and Partnerships at BlockPower, where a significant impact was made on voter outreach during the 2020 election. Additional experience includes operational and managerial roles in educational technology and campaign coordination for various organizations. Kenyon holds a degree from Georgetown University.

SMASH provides an intensive and holistic computer science-focused education to dedicated students of color who seek equal access to college and career readiness resources. Our mission is to build a strong, diverse and socially conscious tech workforce by leveling the playing field through academic learning and experiential engagement for high school and college students. SMASH’s two leading programs are: - SMASH Residential, our flagship program, provides high school students across the nation with a tuition-free, residential educational experience for each of their three summers during high school. With programs at 5 campuses, SMASH Residential works to ensure that Scholars have the computer science knowledge and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in college and beyond. - SMASH Virtual is an online platform that provides students early exposure to CS/emerging technology topics and career professionals.
