A.O. Scott has been a film critic at the New York Times since 2000, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in criticism in 2010. In 2016, he published Better Living Through Criticism: How Not To Think About Art, Pleasure, Beauty, And Truth. He is a Distinguished Professor in the College of Film and The Moving Image at Wesleyan University.
