The Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME) is a professional society (nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation) whose nearly 13,000 members represent all professionals serving the minerals industry in more than 80 countries. SME members are engineers, geologists, metallurgists, educators, students, and researchers. SME advances the worldwide minerals community through information exchange and professional development.

The local Boise SME Section invites you to get involved by joining our chapter! Throughout the year, we host many technical sessions that are designed to provide opportunities for both professionals and students. You can enjoy an evening of dinner, drinks, and industry insights! Learn about the latest research in the field, participate in an exciting Q&A session, and connect with the most active professionals in Idaho!

Stay tuned for posts here about upcoming events or visit our website to see the full list.
