Aaron Goldberg

Aaron Goldberg, PE, D.GE has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. Aaron currently holds the position of Principal Engineer/Senior Project Manager at S&ME, Inc., starting in August 2017. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Sales and Engineering at U.S. Wick Drain, Inc. from August 2012 to July 2017.

Aaron Goldberg's earlier career includes working as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at S&ME, Inc. from June 2001 to August 2012. In this role, they served as a discipline leader and project manager for transportation, port terminal, and commercial projects in the US and Latin America. Aaron also had corporate responsibilities, including being a part of the Geotechnical Steering Committee and Risk Management Team, where they contributed to developing loss prevention policies, conducting training, and performing audits for compliance.

Before joining S&ME, Inc., Goldberg worked as a Geotechnical Engineer at Woodward Clyde - URS Corporation from August 1994 to June 2001. Aaron acted as a task leader and project manager for transportation, municipal solid waste landfill, and dam projects. Aaron was also responsible for managing three staff engineers and developed expertise in various aspects of geotechnical design.

Aaron'sprofessional journey began at The University of Texas at Austin, where they served as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 1992 to June 1994. During this time, they conducted experimental research on offshore oil platform foundations, focusing on driven piles and suction piles in both clay and sand. Aaron developed models and testing protocols as part of their research.

Aaron Goldberg, PE, D.GE received their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1992. Aaron then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1994. In addition to their educational background, Goldberg has also received the following certifications: Diplomate in Geotechnical Engineering from The Academy of Geo-Professionals and they are a Registered Professional Engineer in multiple states including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, Iowa, New Jersey, U.S. Virgin Islands, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, and North Dakota.
