Sanjeeb Prusti

Sanjeeb Prusti serves as the Executive Vice President and Head of Internal Audit at SMFG India Credit since July 2023. Prior to this role, Sanjeeb was the Senior Vice President at Axis Bank, overseeing Business Operational and Regulatory Risk Management for various banking services from March to July 2023. Sanjeeb's extensive background at Citi India included key positions as Senior Vice President, where responsibilities encompassed leading Business Planning and Strategy, managing Project Management for the divestiture of Citibank India's Consumer Business to Axis Bank, and heading Operational Risk and Control across multiple units. Sanjeeb also held the Vice President position in Business Controls within Wealth Management. Earlier experience includes Deputy Manager in Audit and Compliance at HDFC Bank and Branch Operations Head at ICICI Bank. Sanjeeb holds a Chartered Accountancy degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completed a program at the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology in April 2021.
