Dr. Aj Acierno

Dr. AJ Acierno's work experience includes serving as the President of Clinical Operations at Smile Brands Inc. since January 2024. In this role, they oversee clinical operations for nearly 700 dental practices in 33 states. Before this, they were the Chief Operating Officer - Midwest Region at Smile Brands Inc. from January 2022 to December 2023, where they oversaw clinical operations for 191 dental practices in 12 states and implemented clinical initiatives. Prior to their role at Smile Brands Inc., Dr. Acierno was the CEO and Co-Founder of DecisionOne Dental Partners since May 2012. Dr. AJ also worked as a Dentist and Practice Owner at DecisionOne Dental Partners from June 2003 to May 2012. Dr. AJ started their career as a Dentist at Heartland Dental from June 2001 to June 2003.

Dr. AJ Acierno completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Notre Dame College Prep in 1993. Dr. AJ then pursued their DDS degree with a focus on Dental and Biology at Creighton University from 1993 to 2001.
