Joe Hernandez

Joe Hernandez has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Joe started their career at Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) as a Government Business Services Consultant from 1995 to 2000. Then, they co-founded Lombardo, Piser & Hernandez, LLC in 2000 and served as the Executive Director until 2004. Following that, they worked at La Petite Academy, Inc. as a Licensing & Compliance Manager from 2004 to 2007, where they ensured compliance with childcare laws and regulations. After this, they joined AIM Specialty Health (formerly American Imaging Management, Inc.) as the Director of Compliance from 2009 to 2018. Currently, Joe is the Director of Compliance at Smile Brands Inc, where they advise and directs the enterprise in regulatory compliance on various topics related to dentistry, fraud and abuse laws, and healthcare regulations.

Joe Hernandez completed their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1990 to 1994. Joe also obtained a Paralegal certification from Roosevelt University through the Lawyers Assistant Program, which was approved by the American Bar Association, from 1996 to 1997. In 1998 and 1999, they earned a Professional certification in the Academy for Healthcare Management. Joe also attended Fenwick High School from 1986 to 1990.
