Paul Chamness

Paul Chamness has over 30 years of work experience, starting as an Audit Staff at Deloitte & Touche in 1989. Paul then worked as an Audit Senior at Barraclough & Associates PC before becoming an Audit Supervisor at Atkinson & Co., Ltd. In 1995, they joined New Mexico Student Loans as a Controller, where they supervised a staff of ten. In 1999, Chamness became the Director of Accounting at Irvine Company, responsible for accounting and financial reporting for 98 apartment communities. More recently, they have served as the Director of Area Controller at Smile Brands Inc. and is currently the Senior Director, Controller at the same company. In this role, they manage a thirteen-person team and is responsible for all accounting functions and consolidated financial reporting for the multi-entity organization. Chamness has demonstrated skills in team management, process improvement, and financial reporting throughout their career.

Paul Chamness obtained a degree in Business with a focus on Accounting from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona between 1984 and 1989. Paul also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant, although it is currently inactive.
