Chris DeLauder has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Chris began their career as a Dog Trainer/Office Manager at Citizen Canine. Chris then worked as a Private Dog Trainer at Chris DeLauder Dog Training, a Dog Trainer at Sirius Dog Training, and a Public Class Dog Trainer at Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation. In 2010, they began doing freelance Web Development work. In 2011, they became the Director At Large at the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club. In 2014, they became a Software Engineer at Stanza.co, and in 2015 they became the Director Of Engineering at Shotput. Here, they built and led the team of Shotput engineers, scaled Shotput from tens of shipments per week to tens of thousands of shipments per week, and created policies and workflow to ensure a well-tested reliable app, resulting in test coverage improving from 0% to 74%. In 2017, they became the Lead Full Stack Engineer at Smile Identity.

Chris DeLauder attended Dev Bootcamp in 2014 and the University of California, Berkeley from 1999 to 2003, studying Peace and Conflict Studies.
