Ram Iyengar has had a long and successful career in the technology industry. In 1981, they began their career as a MTS at ITT Advanced Technology Center, where they wrote assembler level software to transport voice packets across the System 1240 digital switch. In 1985, they moved to AT&T Bell Laboratories, where they worked as a Software and Systems consultant and was responsible for design, development, testing and support of Sub-rate Data Cross Connect Systems. In 1987, they co-founded Next Generation Information (NGI), where they were Co-President and pioneered the use of IVR technology to provide transit schedule information to commuters over the telephone. In 2000, they became a Board Member at Alphion Corporation and also co-founded Stat Technologies Inc., where they were President and CEO. In 2012, they joined the Executive team at Passport Health (now Experian Health) as Sr. VP, Clinical Orders & Scheduling. In 2017, they co-founded Smirta Innovations Inc. to bring data modelling and AI techniques to optimize patient flow and utilization of critical resources in the Oncology Infusion treatment Centers.
Ram Iyengar completed a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Ram then went on to pursue an MTech in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport.
