Hugh Franklin Smisson

Hugh Franklin Smisson, III MD, FACS is an accomplished medical professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chairman at Trimax Medical, Smisson is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board at Smisson-Mathis Energy, a company focused on producing biodiesel fuel. As Owner and Managing Partner of VF Partners - CHS, Smisson oversees operations while managing The Vineyards at Betty's Creek, a highly ranked wedding venue. In addition, Smisson founded Southern Spine, LLC and co-founded Smisson-Cartledge Biomedical, LLC, and has been a partner at the Georgia Neurosurgical Institute since 1992. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University.
