Jode Ballard is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as Principal Forensic Engineer at Smith-Ballard Forensic Engineers since October 2024, specializing in analyzing complex engineering matters to identify root causes and interpret data. Previously, Jode held the position of Senior Forensic Engineer at ProNet Group, Inc., where responsibilities included investigating site conditions related to building system failures and providing damage assessments. Jode's extensive experience also encompasses leading development efforts for retail units as Director of Development at Lifestyle Communities and as Senior Manager of Development at Thorntons Inc. Additionally, Jode has a robust foundation in civil engineering from over a decade at Kimley-Horn, where skills in project execution and client relationship management were honed, alongside achieving significant cost savings for clients. Jode earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
