Brigitte Walla has garnered diverse experiences in leadership, education, and environmental conservation. As Color/Winter Guard Captain at Ridgewood High School, Brigitte mentored newcomers and performed at various competitions. Currently serving as President of the Smith College Audubon Chapter, responsibilities include organizing events and educating the community on environmental issues. In addition, Brigitte is a Teaching Assistant for the Marine Ecology Lab at Smith College and a Student Academic Advisor, providing guidance to first-year students. Prior roles include Field Assistant for the Shark Bay Dolphin Research Project at Georgetown University and Deckhand/Naturalist with Acadian Boat Tours, reflecting a strong commitment to marine ecology. Brigitte's involvement as a photographer for The Sophian and as a Camp Counselor at The Nature Place Day Camp further demonstrates a well-rounded skill set in communication and teamwork. Education includes a recent study away program in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography through the Sea Education Association.
