Katarina Maldonado is an experienced mental health professional with a diverse background in therapy and counseling. Currently serving as a Program Therapist at Smith Community Mental Health since October 2019, Katarina has also held positions as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Broward Health and as a School-based Mental Health Counselor at MCUSA, where skills in treatment planning and conducting psychoeducational groups were developed. Previous experience includes providing direct therapeutic interventions as a Behavior Therapist at Foundations Therapy Inc. and coaching youth basketball at Central Broward Basketball Academy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ave Maria University.
