Ellen Stortz

Ellen Stortz is an experienced talent acquisition and human resources professional with a strong background in establishing and managing HR functions across various organizations. Currently serving as Talent Acquisition Manager at Smith Douglas Homes since January 2014, Ellen played a critical role in developing the Talent Acquisition function during a period of rapid growth. Prior experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager at both North Highland and KB Home, where Ellen was instrumental in creating HR and payroll functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and managing recruitment processes. Ellen's early career included HR leadership roles at Colony Homes and American Oncology Resources, along with benefits administration experience at Nabors Industries. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Louisville and additional business training from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business.
