Kirsten Shaffer

Kirsten Shaffer, CAE, has served as the Executive Director for both NAMSS and NAHAM at Smithbucklin since April 2011, where responsibilities encompass leading operational, strategic, and governance aspects of multiple national professional associations, managing a team of 6, and overseeing more than 30 additional staff. Prior roles at Smithbucklin include Operations Manager, where Kirsten implemented new programming and managed multiple departments, and Membership & Operations Coordinator, focused on membership communications and support for nonprofit volunteers. Prior to Smithbucklin, Kirsten held positions such as Income Manager at the American Cancer Society and Member Support Specialist at Organization Management Group, among others. Kirsten earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hanover College and participated in the SmithBucklin Leadership Learning Forum in 2016.
