Ira DuBey

Ira DuBey, PhD, is the current President of Pharmaceutical Development Services at Smithers. Dr. DuBey has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries. Prior to joining Smithers, they were the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at AVANZA Laboratories from March 2011 to January 2013. Before that, they were the Vice President and General Manager at Tandem Labs, A LabCorp Company, from December 2004 to February 2011. Dr. DuBey's other experience includes being the Director of Immunochemistry Services at Covance Laboratories from January 1998 to December 2005 and the Department Head of Forensic Toxicology at Quest Diagnostics, Inc from January 1987 to December 1997.

Ira DuBey, PhD has a Masters in Science from the University of Maryland in Toxicology and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Graduate Center CUNY in Ph.D. Studies. Ira also has an MBA in Marketing from the Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.
