Jacob Garman-Davenport is a seasoned professional in food safety and public health with extensive experience in laboratory management and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as Laboratory Services and Analytics Manager at Smithfield Foods since April 2014, Jacob oversees an on-site microbiology laboratory and ensures compliance with USDA regulations while managing multiple food safety and quality assurance programs. Additionally, Jacob operates The GD Farm and previously worked as a Public Health Specialist at the Kansas City Health Department, performing health inspections and public education. Jacob holds a Master of Public Health in Infectious Disease and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Kansas State University.
