Doug Kozma

Doug Kozma enjoys translating strategy into physical solutions-turning bold ideas into reality. Campus Planning and Landscape Architecture offer a dynamic professional canvas for him. As SmithGroup's Campus Planning Director, Doug's passion is the academic environment. He has proudly lived in three great university towns: Madison, State College, and, currently, Ann Arbor. Doug channels his energy into integrated planning, focusing on relationship building, team leadership, innovation, and principle-based design. Doug leads planning efforts for broad access, regional comprehensive, research, and private institutions throughout the U.S. He actively participates in the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). He enjoys the camaraderie and intellectual engagement that higher education offers.
