Sara Alavi

Sara Alavi is a medical planner with extensive experience in healthcare architecture, currently employed at SmithGroup since August 2017. Key projects include UCSF Oak Benioff Children's Hospital, UC Davis Health Replacement Hospital Tower, and various facilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to this role, Sara worked as an architectural designer at the Office of the University Architects, contributing to campus project planning and team management. Additional experience includes a healthcare studio internship at SmithGroup and a graduate teaching assistant role at Arizona State University, where assistance was provided to undergraduates on design projects. Sara holds a Master of Science in Built Environment and a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies from Arizona State University.
