Marc Furlonger

Marc Furlonger has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Marc currently serves as the Director of Financial Control at Smiths Group plc. Prior to this, they were the Head of Group Finance at Mitie from 2016 to 2017. Marc also had a long tenure at British Land, holding various roles including Appointment to Operations Committee, Head of Forecasting & Financial Reporting, Director of British Land Financing Ltd, Head of Financial Forecasting, and Senior Accountant. Marc played a crucial role in establishing a Group FP&A department, recruiting a Finance Business Partner team, and managing the acquisition of a joint venture partner's share. Marc also served as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit Committee at THE WESTMINSTER ACADEMY (WESTBOURNE GREEN) from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they had experience in corporate finance and audit roles at Kingston Smith, as well as a geotechnical engineer role at Fugro.

Marc Furlonger attended Sir William Borlase's Grammar School from 1985 to 1991. Marc received their MEng BSc degree in Civil Engineering and Management from The University of Manchester from 1991 to 1995.
