Vanya Bromfield serves as General Counsel for John Crane, the largest division within Smiths Group plc, leading a global legal team to provide business-oriented risk management solutions. In addition, Vanya holds the title of General Counsel for Business Information Services and Vice President for Legal Operations at Smiths Group, focusing on global IT and technology transformation and operational efficiency. Vanya's legal career includes prior roles such as Legal Counsel at Belron UK Limited and Senior Associate at Baker & McKenzie, with expertise spanning IT procurement, intellectual property, and commercial law. Vanya also contributes as a trustee for the Palace for Life Foundation and ACDiversity, promoting education and social mobility initiatives, and has been an advisory board member for The Lawyer's InHouse Counsel Conference. Vanya holds various legal qualifications, including a BA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property from the University of Bristol.
