Bob Hughes

Bob Hughes, C.P.M., CSCP has extensive work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and procurement. Bob currently holds the role of Director of Strategic Sourcing at Smiths Interconnect since March 2022. Prior to that, they were the Strategic Sourcing Manager at Smiths Interconnect from June 2018 to March 2022. Bob also worked as the Director of Sourcing & Supply Chain at CIRCOR Energy from June 2014 to September 2016.

Before joining CIRCOR Energy, Bob held the position of Materials Manager at Pall Corporation from June 2012 to March 2014, where they were responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain activities for the DeLand and Fort Myers facilities. Bob achieved significant accomplishments during their tenure, including reducing customer past due amounts and implementing cost-saving measures.

From February 2008 to June 2012, Bob worked as a Supply Chain Manager at Invacare, where they led the implementation of lean supply chain methodologies and managed sourcing, planning, warehousing, and logistics activities. Bob collaborated with cross-functional teams to drive product improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Bob also has experience in project and contract management, having served as a Project and Contract Manager at Renewed Enterprises from March 1998 to January 2008. There, they were responsible for property evaluation, purchasing, remodeling, and marketing.

Earlier in their career, Bob worked at E-One as a Purchasing Agent, where they were responsible for improving processes, reducing costs, and providing training to other purchasing personnel. Bob also worked at Graco Children's Products as a Materials Manager, where they gained progressive management experience in all aspects of the supply chain.
